A Wedding Inspired by Vintage Romance

If you haven’t noticed by now, we absolutely LOVE when we have the opportunity to work on an event for a loved one. And the fruit of our labor is even sweeter when we get to be a part of that special day. This was the case for our dear friends, Terry and Erin, who tied the knot in April of 2018. Not only were we honored to attend the wedding, we also had the privilege of creating special décor for their ceremony and reception, as well as designing their custom invitation suites.

Terry and Erin chose a centrally located venue in Brandon, FL to celebrate their nuptials with friends and family. Casa Lantana is the quintessential venue for outdoor weddings that embody a woodland and vintage romantic vibe in an old Florida setting. Ancient oak trees covered in Spanish moss throughout the 12 picturesque acres help to create picture-perfect ceremonies. Terry and Erin’s was no exception.

Beautiful sprays of eucalyptus lined the aisle while whimsical and dainty jar arrangements hung from the branches of the massive oak trees under which the bride and groom exchanged their vows.

We have a soft spot for the whimsical touch that thistle adds to any arrangement!

The bride chose peonies and succulents as the main florals used throughout all of the bouquets. The combination was breathtaking and perfect for a springtime wedding!

We LOVE designing custom invitations, and jumped at the opportunity to create this beautiful wedding suite for our sweet friends! We paired elegant, vintage botanical illustrations with a soft shade of eucalyptus to match the wedding theme and colors.

The wedding suite included the main invite, RSVP card, and custom addressed return RSVP envelope. Each invitation was adorned with soft grey, hand-dyed silk ribbon and wax-sealed by hand.

Creating cohesive and eye-catching signage is one of our favorite parts of event design. The bride let us flex our graphic design skills in creating these beautiful graphics for the escort cards and guest book.

Guests found their seats via individually potted succulents, which doubled as some of the most unique party favors we’ve ever seen!

Perhaps the most fun element of cocktail hour was the guest book! Guests had the opportunity to take Polaroid selfies and leave personal handwritten well wishes for the newlyweds!

You can’t tell from these photos, but it actually rained! The exact locations of the ceremony and reception had to be altered last minute, but everything still turned out beautifully and perfect! In fact, the rain just added to the fun of the epic party that was the reception!

We’re grateful to our sweet friends for letting us play such a huge role on their special day and we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness! #bennett2winit
